Portsea Swim Classic 2023

The Portsea Swim Classic – an open water swim race with an expected 2000+ competitors.
The race is over a course that is 1,500 metres long and the swim is conducted with competitors swimming with the tide. Times for individuals in the race vary according to the category and individual.
Historically, each competitor is allocated to a race category and these categories are dispatched from the start with 4-minute gaps between them.
The Portsea Surf Life Saving Club patrols all aspects of the race and has a water safety team in place that meets the requirements of Life Saving Victoria.
